52 Runs a Fatal 10-50 with The Rescue & Ladder 19

52 was dispatched to an area of I40 that is known for frequent accidents during rain. While en route, the call was upgraded after communications had received multiple calls saying the car was wrapped around a pole (possibly split in half). The call was upgraded and first due Ladder 19 and Rescue 5 were dispatched to assist.

Upon arrival, 52 found 3 patients with 1 confirmed entrapment.

An adult and child were transported immediately. 52 worked to stabilize the vehicle. L19 assisted with stabilizing, lighting and extrication. Rescue 5 did the majority of cutting while Guilford County EMS performed patient care and stabilization. Crews worked for just under an hour to remove the patient.

Not a whole lot of info in the news links as the accident is still under investigation.

Pics are pending...
