Here's a few photos we took while riding a commercial fire alarm. - More examples of reasons to pay attention while running those "routine calls".

 There are probably 100 new and used mattresses in this room, all shapes and sizes.

Riser and valve blocked.

 Alarm panel blocked. This panel is actually the main panel for two large retail occupancies. The fire came it at this address but the pull station was in the adjoining retailer.

In all, there were 2 fire exits that were inaccessible, electrical panels inaccessible, a sprinkler riser inaccessible and the fire alarm panel was inaccessible. Along with all of the obstacles we faced in here on an alarm, imagine the fire load of this back room with 100+ stacked matresses, couches, etc.

Both retailers have a date with The Bureau this week.

Certainly a good call to learn from.
